Objective: To verify the spatial distribution and factors associated with the types of urgency and emergency care provided by SAMU-192 in the health territories of the municipality of Vitória.

Method: This is a cross-sectional observational study with data collection from the Medical Regulation System of SAMU-192 in Espírito Santo. The research environment consisted of patients assisted by the SAMU-192 mobile pre-hospital service in primary care from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021. Results: Based on the analysis of the data obtained, a total of 10,582 patients were assisted by the SAMU-192 mobile pre-hospital service, with 5,403 during the year 2020 and 5,179 in the year 2021. It was observed that the greatest activity of SAMU-192 occurred in region 5, totaling 25.8% of cases, followed by region 4 with 21.9%, region 2 with 20.8%, region 6 with 14.6%, region 1 with 10.5% and region 3 with 6.4%. Regarding external causes, in all 6 territories of Vitória, the analysis by sex shows that males predominate over females. When examining the results for gynecological and obstetric causes, the territory with the highest absolute number of SAMU-192 (emergency medical service) uses for this reason was territory 6, Centro, totaling 140 cases. Conclusion:A higher concentration of cases was observed in the Continental region, as well as a predominance of clinical and external causes in all territories, with a higher presumed severity in specific areas. External causes showed a predominance in males, while differences by sex were observed in clinical and psychiatric care in certain territories.
